Shale Oak Classics
_____________________________________________________
Our Classic series includes single varietal wines sourced from both our vineyards located on our westside property on the other side of the hill at the winery, as well as our second vineyard on the east side of Paso Robles near San Miguel.
Our vineyards are sustainably farmed and our wines are sustainably produced!
Our 2024 vintage of our infamous rosé of Grenache, produced from our own backyard, is very vibrant! She's showing us lemon, nectarine, unripe strawberries, and rhubarb on the palate, and pink roses on the nose. What a delightful wine this is for this sunny season.
95 Point Double Gold - 2021 Orange County Commercial Wine Competition
A complex nose of black cherry, clove and dark chocolate is matched by a mouthful of black fruits, subtle baking spice and well integrated oak. The lingering pallete finshes silky smooth with a beautiful tannin prescense.
“Built around dark briary fruit, the 2017 Petit Verdot has notes of tobacco and cedar pencil. It’s loaded with plum and blackberry flavors with tannin that will benefit from a few years of age.”
- Curtis Hascall, Winemaker
